Hi, I am Dr. Hani Battah, born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. Graduated from Baghdad University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. due to the circumstances that followed the end of the first gulf war our family decided to leave Iraq in search of a new home and build a new life. After 7 years of traveling and exploring different countries such as Jordan, Egypt, and New Zealand, I reached the United States in the end of 1999. I met my future wife, a native of Lancaster PA in 2001 and have been living here ever since. I started working as a technician at Manheim Pike Animal Hospital for 4 years until I was able to complete all of the mandatory exams to obtain a veterinary license in the United States. I started working at Smoketown Animal Hospital in June of 2004, after 15 years I decided to become a mobile veterinarian, due to irreconcilable differences with my partners for a year and half I decided to walk away and joined the team at Happy Tails Animal Hospital in March of 2021. Fast forward five years, the desire to become a mobile veterinarian again was very strong especially since I missed being with my clients at their homes, evaluating their beloved four-legged family members without the stress of being in a hospital setting or the inconvenience of traveling with one or multiple pets. I also have been working as a relief veterinarian at PETS emergency 2-3 nights a week since October of 2021 and Shores Animal Emergency 3 nights a week starting May 2026. During my years of practice, I witnessed the importance and high demand for at home veterinary care including at home euthanasia service hence I decide to create Battah Mobile Veterinary Services. For now, I will be practicing out of my personal van providing all kinds of veterinary services other than dental and surgical procedures. Those will be available in the beginning of next year out of a custom built 22 ft sprinter van, basically a hospital on wheels.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, working out especially calisthenics, gymnastics, and martial arts. I love reading and exploring anything new about many aspects of science.
